My game crashes at random points while playing
Please make sure you always have the latest graphics driver installed. Always download the driver directly from the official manufacturer’s website, instead of automatically updating it through Windows. Another possible solution for this problem is to deactivate the In-Game-Overlay and GeForce Experience Highlights both provided by the GeForce Experience application, as well as all other In-Game-Overlays provided by other programs. In addition, please also check if deactivating V-Sync and setting the application’s priority in the task manager to high fixes the issue for you.
Every time I try to resume the game via the “Continue” button in the main menu, my game crashes
This often is an indicator for a corrupted save file. You can try to fix this problem by loading an older save file. You can do this by restarting the chapter you are playing through via the main menu. Please be aware that the autosave will be overwritten. However, quick saves will not, so in order to try this, please make sure you have at least one additional quick save created a short period before your latest one. Once you are in game, try to load that save file. If this method isn’t working, you unfortunately must replay the specific chapter. Game crashes on launch after intro video if Steam language is set to Ukrainian
Fix: Change Steam language. The game language can then be set it the ingame options to whatever language is supported/desired.

Xbox Adaptive Controller
When using the Xbox Adaptive Controller with copilot mode, the game needs a reboot if you activate copilot while the game is running.
HDR not working properly
If HDR is set to ON in the windows display settings but not ON in the game all ingame render will appear overcontrasted.
Why doesn't RTX work for me?
- You need one of the GeForce RTX 20XX cards.
- You need DirectX 12 and Windows 10 Version 1809.
- Update the game as well as the NVIDIA drivers.
Benchmark does not start
To run benchmark from Epic build game should be started at least once from launcher.
Guest Mode
If the EPIC version of the game is started directly by clicking the MetroExodus.exe file in the game installation directory (bypassing the Epic launcher or shortcut) then the game is started in guest mode. New "guest" saves are created in the game directory, separate from your Epic connected saves. The two do not conflict or overwrite each other, but guest saves are not recognized when the game is started from the Epic Launcher, and vice versa.
Aurora Edition PS4 - Season Pass
When the Season Pass is redeemed, a download notification for the Dynamic spring theme appears. this is normal and the theme is bundled with the Season pass. The upcomming DLCs will appear once they are available automatically.
